Is Biothane material is better than leather.
i found lots of sites while trying to order padded harness and long leash.
i was thinking to order leather one and i found this also sounds better but never seen it.
anyone been using this material product would be glad to hear.
thanks

I like the material better because it doesn't need to be oiled and kept like leather.
Unfortunately, one of the "biothane" leashes that I bought is coming unstitched at the handle after a few years' use. I think this is a defect in the stitching, and has nothing to do with the "biothane" material itself.

i saw the protection/tracking harness made by biothane material not only leather.
the only better option i could see using it is it can be used in any weather....but nev"er feel it though.......
i'm looking to get atleast 8' one but i'm thinking either to buy 3/8 or 5/4"....
is it fine to get leather than biothane material even harness and leash...

Biothane is easier to keep clean and doesn't require the oiling that leather does. It's also consistent handling in all weather, cold, and wet.... In the equine industry biothane is used for everything from saddles, bridles, harnesses, pack equipment, you name it. I like biothane for some things, for other things I am "purist" and must have the leather.
