Well I just heard in the news on Channel 11 that the City of Dallas will hold their meeting on Monday afternoon (April 28) to vote on whether to pass mandatory spaying or neutering for pet owners. They will be allowed to have up to 6 dogs but they will have to be fixed. Breeders will also be allowed to pay a $500.00 a year fee in order to keep their dogs not fixed. You know that if Dallas passes this, other Texas cities will follow.

Another PETA trick huh?

This is bullcrap to pay $500 dollars a year just to have unaltered animals....

What a fricken rip off.

Yes, it is true and we have to thank the puppy millers for this. This will spread to the surrounding communities, no doubt.

Did they have a public hearing on this? That is crazy.

All I know is that whenit was mentioned that one of  the topics of agenda at Monday's City Council meeting was anounced, there was a large number of citizens that voiced there disapproval of this ordinance, so the city has moved the location of the meeting to another location to accomodate the large number of people (pet owners, protestors, etc.) attending the meeting. I'm trying to find out where it will be.

What happened at the public meeting Sunshine?

Somebody should post the date time place of the new meeting  so people can attend. We don't live in Texas but that can happen anywhere. It needs to be stopped.

My vision for the USA (and not Canada otherwise I would have said Norh America), is that we can visit the canine in a zoo one day with our children.

Somebody in Dallas needs to contact the ACLU

Okay guys I found a little bit more information. From what I gather, since this meeting has been moved from their  usual meeting  place the city council does not want the public there. Here is the link:
