Up until now we've only ever tinkered with the idea of feeding a BARF diet, giving occasional chicken wings, raw bones, offal etc as and when we can but still feeding a main diet of kibble. Being a bit of a idle git, my main issue has always been finding a single good quality supplier to provide all the ingredients & quantities required, especially good quality protein i.e. green tripe, offal, chicken/turkey wings & necks etc.
Anyway, I happened upon the Landywood Pet Foods site (http://www.landywoods.co.uk/) & they seem to be a company who really do fit the bill. There are a number of internet reviews which give them high praise & as such I'm giving this renewed serious thought.
Does anybody on here source food from them & what are your experiences?
Thanks,
AandA

there is a company called TPMS that deliver to your door they are pretty gud
haven't heard of the one you are talking about ..
the best source we have found was our local slaughterhouse. might be worth a try.
whereabouts are you?

We're in N.Wilts & yes I totally agree with you that the local slaughterhouse is the best place to source meats. We had one literally walking distance away from us, but that was closed down 10 yrs ago or so. No doubt some EU dictat or other.
I've also seen references to TPMS on the web... & for the moment I'm keeping all options open.
Thanks,

I have had a few things from landywoods, I went and collected mine and I have no complaints about them, the only reason I stopped is because I have a place near me that does the same and supplies the pet shops so I buy it in bulk.

Yes give Landywoods a go. The ones I know that use them give them good reports. I get my supplies from all over, just collected some salmon heads from Morrisons and a friend will be dropping some chicken carcs of later from a butcher off the market. Loads of places out there but Landywoods deliver it all in one go to your door.
You'll not regret switching totally to BARF, well I haven't.

Thanks for all the info guys - especially that first link from langhaar, it's only 15 mile away!
I'm getting more & more certain that BARF is the way to go. The glint in his eye when he knows the chicken wings are coming out says it all!
