I have a copy of the pink papers of a recently acquired import female, but still have not received the necessary paperwork from the importer to register her with the AKC. I have been told that the papers will be coming soon, but have been waiting now for close to 3 months. I have a history with the importer and have always found him to be trustworthy and honorable. Who do I need to contact in Germany to find out if the papers have been lost or mishandled?

Is it a puppy? Sometimes they can take forever, but you can still contact the SV if you're concerned.

It took almost a year for my Hungarian Imported female to get her AKC papers.

Should not take more than 3 mos. anything longer, unless impacted by a possible breed survey, is questionable.
Contact Sabine if the importer has actually started the process.

Many thanks for the information. I will see if I can track down the paperwork.

It took me almost 6 months to get my males paperwork and I imported him from Slovakia so I wouldn't panic just yet it's probably processing.
