I posted this in the classifieds, but here it is for those of you who don't look at the ads on this board.
Kennel Reduction-Working Dogs Due to pressures of time, space, and economics, I am offering some of my best young working dogs and breeding stock for sale at this time. Working homes preferred, of course. Prices extremely reasonable. Co-ownerships considered. Please call for details as I don't have time to sit in front of my computer or post specifics on my website this week (unless it rains...) too busy training while the weather is nice in the Northeast. These are very nice dogs, DEFINITELY NOT CULLS, most of which I bred and/or raised from pups myself, well-started in the work or titled/proven producers of titled dogs and police K9's, with attractive bloodlines most working dog enthusiasts would appreciate. One male would make an excellent K9 IMO. All are housebroken, friendly, well-socialized, and have lots of "road warrior" experience. Tough decisions, but life is never easy. |
Phone calls preferred. PM's/e-mails not viewed so often.

Again? or is this the GSD equivalent to a red tag sale?
Not that I care about your personal life, but weren't you getting out of Dodge not too long ago? And then you built a kick-ass kennel for your beloved GSD's, I sorta thought you must have reconciled, and now, what exactly are the colors of these fire sale dogs?
CURIOUS, is all.
Life's short, pursuing your dream is a finite endeavor, should one not believe in an afterlife. You go girl.

They are gray. Its not exactly a fire sale, just that I have too many dogs to title this year and can't bear to see any of my good prospects rot in the kennel when bed time comes and goes and I'm still not done with what all training and chores I have to do. The dogs people send me that are paying the bills have to come first, there are only so many hours in the day to work my butt off. I ain't getting any younger and neither are the dogs, so better they go to good working homes now, with handlers who appreciate them and have the time/ability to develop their potential, than to hang on to them hoping I wake up one morning 15 yrs. younger with 4 more hours of daylight added to the clock and news of a fat trust fund left to me by some relative I didn't know I had.
Life is full of tough decisions. This latest one is particularly difficult, and put off too long due to sentiment and stubborness on my part, but in my heart and head I know its the right one, both for myself and my much-loved young dogs. I've convinced myself at last it'll feel a lot better when I can shamelessly brag "I raised that dog" when they're out on the trial fields with people who love them as much as I do, hopefully producing another generation of good working dogs later. Anyone who thinks this is easy, obviously doesn't know me very well.

Shelley,
Such a shame they aren't red, I've been looking for a red GSD for ages now. They must be rarer than I thought but I'll keep looking.
Good luck.

I only have show dogs with deep red and black, if that's what you mean.

Sure! A tennis ball in the simy pond across the street will bring lovely green pigment every time.

If you ever get so desperate to consider a pet home for your dogs, do add me to your long list, as I clearly can not cut it in the short " A" list.
All I can say is every dog I've ever owned has had the best in veterinary care, love has abounded, and I don't allow my dogs to destroy my property, meaning anything important to me. Go figure.
I also spend way more on what I think is quality food.
And we just put in a gunite swimming pool, my Mojo just loves it!
It could be worse being my dog!
But heck, got that working boy blues, don't it feel good!
