I've had my bitch on Joint strong from K9 power products for HD.  Since she bloated twice my vet recommends I find a Condroitin free joint suppliment because controitin can irritate the stomach.  K9 power products don't know of any joint suppliments without condroitin.  Does anyone here know of any without having to purchase all the ingredients separately, which may be my only option.

Thanks,

Melanie

And for those who do purchase the ingredients separately can you list what you purchase, where and how much to give?

Thanks alot,

Melanie

What has the vet said about what it is that upsets the stomach in chondroitin?  Is it the source eg fish or bovine or something else?

There are many non chondroitin joint supplements

chondroitin comes from shark or bovine cartilage, glucosamine comes from shellfish, although they have corn based ones now, but they are usually Glucosamine HCl not sulfate

Melanie,

I go to costco and buy 1500mg tablets of human grade glucosimine , about $18.00 for 100 tablets

i start all my pups on it. My older dog, tango gets twice the dose due to his age 7 and his working conditions (usar)
