We have a 2 month old GSD male puppy. We live in a village with many stray dogs. 2 of these strays (medium sized timid bitches) used to come in to play with our previous dog who recently died, and they now stay with us most of the day. There is also a larger timid male dog who comes in occassionally. They come in over some informal steps over a boundary stone wall.
Our vet has told us to keep the puppy indoors for 3 months until his course of injections is complete (the vet is mainly concened about parvo virus). Does anyone have any comments on whether we should prevent the stray dogs coming in before we let the puppy out in the garden? Thanks, peter
