it's depressing, isn't it? it's really hard to live "green" (ish). i've been trying to switch to organic produce and chicken as much as i can. but what do you do about everything else?!! no matter what you do personally, the amount of chemicals in our daily environment is so high, i don't think we can escape it. i try to use really good foods for the dogs and i do switch a bit more often now, just to try to avoid any build-ups of anything bad or to make sure they are getting enough of something else. what a balancing act. i do know that since i've been buying more organically grown or produced foods, my sons and my allergies are less noticable.

i've also convinced my husband that letting alot of the cut grass stay on the lawns is a better fertilizer than chemical stuff. one small step for the dogs!

This is not a surprise with all the junk they try and pass off as dog food.   Raw is the only safe way to feed your GSD

Feeding raw is good if you have your own supply of lifestock. most of the meat that we eat from the store has growth hormoans in it.

Most of what you buy in a store has all kinds of crap in it period.    We all should watch what we eat, its not just the dogfood.

FDA is useless and has been the topic of much concern lately in several reports that I've seen on PBS.

       You are right regular supermarket food is the pits. especially the meats.    Last year I went on a mission to find out how best to feed my GSD.  My last 2 GSD's died from cancer and I blamed myself for listening to my vet on what to feed them. I have since changed vet's.

With that Said I have completely changed my diet especially when it concerns meat.  I buy all my meats including what I feed my GSD from this local butcher shop.  They specialize in free range natural fed chicken and natural fed black angus cows.  In other words chemical free meat sure it's more expensive but I sleep much better at night.  My Gunner is now on a 90% raw meat diet from chemical free meat.  The other 10% is Orijen kibble.

Not to argue with any of your logic about food but cancers have so many cause's including genetics.   I guess I just get tired of being lied to about cancer and its cause's.  

Just my rant.  Pay it no attention.

                      You are more than right.  I have had more than my share of cancer in my family. It is just a terrible terrible desease.  My son had leukemia at 18years  old a few years ago    Thank God he survived it.  We took him to Dana Farber and the head of the Leukemia divison was his doctor because he had a rare form of the desease.  He is one of the foremost experts in the world on leukemia. He told me and this an exact quote we have no idea how leukemia is caused he used an analogy put a thousand people on a mountan top and lightning strikes one of them that is how much of an idea we have on what causes the desease.

                    You are right Kevin Trudeau is right on the money. What I found from my experience dealing with my son's cancer was Astragalus a 200 year old natural chinese herb that really boosts your immune system the more you take the stronger your immune system gets.  Since I have been taking it around 5 years I have not been sick or even had a common cold..  This is the last thing doctors want you to know about because it costs $5.00USD for a bottle of 100 pills.  Believe me this stuff really works.       A year ago when i visited my daughter at college she was in bed with a bad case of the flu I put her on Astragalus and 24 hours later she was a new person feeling great.  Also the japanese use the Maitake mushroom to treat cancer it is a stronger version of Astragalus.      If you read Kevin Treudeau's book there are tons of natural remedys that cost little or nothing that the medical profession roundly dismisses but are great and really work.
