Hi all i was just wondering why we cannot show medium coat gsd , not long just between , i have a dog that is medium coated and i would love to have a go at showing him , would it be possible if i trimmed his coat down and showed him and se how i got on , youre advice would be helpful , Thanks

I don't have an answer for you, but I am wondering what you mean by medium coat... Is it long, but has the undercoat?

I guess you can do whatever you like, but GSDs are not to be trimmed or clipped for show. In fact they are one of the few natural breeds left.

Yes, you can show your dog! Most of us with long/medium coats show our dogs in UKC. And they do quite well. And no, you cannot cut your gsd's hair. Unless you would want to get disqualified when they catch ya. Good luck with what ever you decide to do. Do you have pics you can put up of your baby? Would love to see them.

ill get picks up shepherd woman , and Darcy it is slightly longer than a short coat but it is shorter then the long coat , thank you for telling me to not trim my dog , p.s i will get a pick up of him on here Grangehey Mack

He may be plush coated which is just fine.
