I've seen pictures of some GSDs and some in person that look as though they have some Mal in them somehow. You know, eyes are closer set, ears a tad smaller, longer black snout. Did Nick H have any Mal in him or any other big producers? How do they get it there and still have the dogs lineage legitimate?

If you are referring to this dog:  http://www.pedigreedatabase.com/gsd/pedigree/443.html

He sure doesn't look to me like there's any Mali in him?

I myself have been trying to find out of documented in breeding of Wolves and Mal in GSD bloodline. But only documented.

If anyone has information about breeders who are doing this I would be glad to know please PM me.

I cant see any malinois in Nick c at all .He looks all GSd to me.Why on earth would anyone want to put Mal in gsds anyway as they are so different .

Not Nick H in particular. But a lot of the pictures I see for GSDs for sale have Mal features.

Before DNA tests, I'm sure breeders go away with a lot of stuff that they'd never be able to do today. It wouldn't surprise me to find out it did happen, but not in recent times.

My grandparents raised GSDs in the forties and fifties and I have some old ceramic GSD statues that belonged to them, maybe from the very early fifties but probably even earlier, and they do look a bit like mals.

Yes, and if people would've stuck with the original blueprint the breed would not be in the mess it's in today.
