Just a reminder for anyone in the philadelphia area that our first ever - Canine Relay for Life will take place on April 19, 2008 at Riverfront Park in Pottstown. Registration starts at 8:00 a.m. Our team - GSDFAN's has the largest amount of dogs participating via a team and has raised close to $2,000.00 so far! We are number 2 in fundraising for canine teams. This event benefits the American Cancer Society and will show case our dogs as care givers to survivors and their families. We are also proud to announce that the Upper Bucks Schutzhund club has graciously agreed to perform a demo for the event. They are scheduled for 12:00, so please come out and join us.
In addition if anyone likes a game of chance we are holding a "dog bone drop" on May 31, 2008 - the day of the Potttown relay. For $100 you have a 1 in 150 chance to win $5,000. The $100 fee is made payable to the American Cancer Society - so it is tax deductible. Details are as follows: (Note you do not have to be present to win).

The ACS Relay For Life of Pottstown is hosting the first ACS Canine Relay For Life, Bark For Life, on April 19th. This 1-mile dog walk will wind along the Schuylkill River in Pottstown's Riverfront Park. Our
Every Dog's Dream bone drop will contribute to both the Canine Relay and the 11th Annual Relay For Life of Pottstown as our community continues to support cancer research and increased patient services through the efforts of the American Cancer Society.
As soon as you decide on your "Lucky Number" return the enclosed form to me to reserve your winning dog bone number(s). Please make checks payable to the American Cancer Society.
