I have a question - If you stud your male out for pick puppy nack does that puppy have the female breeders kennel name or yours?

Traditionally it has the kennel name of the bitch's owner, the same as the rest of the litter. Unless you agree beforehand to handle it differantly, that's how it goes.

Thanks.

Do they typically also guarentee the puppy's hips, too? Kinda like a normal purchase...

I don't think that would be fair, as the stud is as liable as the bitch to be responsible for any genetic issues.

k9 I dont think there is a rule book for guarantee's or kennel names. I think you could work anything out.
The bitch's kennel if they are using a kennel name would probably want to do the same with a litter from your stud.
How's your stud's OFA? How about the bitch and her past offspring? Guarantee's are tricky.
Talk over the terms and get them in writing in advance.

If you're getting THE PICK PUPPY
(Here we go again....)
Should it not be SUPER PUP!
It should be above the norm.......
Just remember if your dog passes any faults on to the offspring,
OH WELL, how could you complain....
I don't understand, I only ask for a stud fee, cause if I asked for a pup from the
litter, and he wasn't ideal for me, I personally would just say: OH WELL!

My personal thoughts are if I stud my male out for pick puppy and my pick puppy MUST be registered with the bitches kennel name then they should also have to guarentee the hips like they will for the other puppies in the litter. Otherwise what is the advantage of studding out the male for a puppy back without your kennel name other than having first choice rather than second pick? Otherwise, I could simply take my stud fee and then purchase a puppy from the litter and I would have a hip guarentee. Maybe I am thinking this wrong or am just picky.
My male is A 1/2 or = to Excellent.
Females are = to Excellent or Good.

Do you want the puppy? Your dog has as much to do with the hips as the bitch. Would you guarantee this pup yourself?
It sounds like you want your cake, and eat it all... lol
Your question kinda runs in a circle from my point of view. Again I think if its just the kennel name that bothers you ask the breeder to let you register the dog with your name, if your talking AKC thats possible I think.
If all these hips are good to excellent why are you concerned about a hip guarantee anyway? Anything can happen and the breeder would probably offer you a different puppy not of your stud.
I'm getting dizzy.

Personally, if/when I was to stud out my male and getting back a puppy from my stud then I would want my logo on my puppy (since it is my pup, my male) as for warranty you got a puppy there is no warranty "is as - as is".
