Quick question we are entered in our first trial this Sunday for our BH. Of course I am a little nervous more so over the written test than the actual field work. My question is this I have at some point seen the written test posted the Thursday before a trial and that is the test used for that weekends trial, of course I cannot find that link anyone have any ideas?? I have several other copies of the test most seem the same I would LOVE to have the one for this weekend if possible. It would definately settle my nerves a bit. Anyone have any ideas??
Thanks
Amy

What written test? I never heard of having to take a written test, its been awhile but you didn't use to have to and a friend of mine seems to trial something once a year and she has never mentioned such a thing...

There is no written test for the BH TMK.

Not to worry.  The written test requirement is not being enforced as yet.  I haven't even heard word of when in future it MIGHT be required. I'd like to see it, if anyone out there has it in English. Just curious. Can't imagine what the questions might be...

USCA has been  enforcing this for a few years now.  It is posted on their website - it is multiple choice questions.  You only have to take it if you haven't titled a dog before.

Oh. I stand corrected. I haven't done a BH in a UScA trial in years... and I would be exempt, but it would be good to have a look so I can help my novice handlers when the time comes this year. I'll check it out when I get a few extra min. to do so.

When do they conduct the test? Is it done in a classroom environment? Before or after the field exercises and traffic tests?  I know... LOOK IT UP Shelley. Ha ha ha ha.

I did my BH for the first time last December. It was a USA trial and the written test was required. It asked things like the paces between exercises, which side to hang the leash on, the number on exercises in a BH. If you know your fieldwork really well, you ought to do fine on the test.

Mike Caputo was the judge and he had us do it before anything else. Take a pen, know the club name (sounds silly right?!) and how to spell the judge's name. Ours was done in the clubhouse.
