If I watched that, I would be going on a hunting trip and it would not be a good thing!

Georgehopwood -

It was on in the US on our WFSB Channel 3 (CBS). Check out Oprah.com.

Sorry Rezkat, if it takes Oprah to get the puppy mill mentality into people's heads and make them stop going to pet stores, then that is what it takes. If juast 1 person sees and buys from a reputable breeder or adopts from a shelter, then that is 1 less dog the mill & pet store get dollars in their pockets.

Tina,

alsolutely agree there!  working at a vet we still see way too many puppies from pet shops.

I cant stand Oprah no matter what the subject is.

Besides I dont think anyone who does watch her could make an intelligent decision on any topic.

Sorry but if you want to stop puppy mills its gonna take legislation, but just be careful what you wish for.  You may not like how things end up.

Now, back to my bugs bunny cartoons.

I only saw the last half hour but didn't think it was bad at all. The segments I saw did not flame breeders and the program ended with Oprah's saying - do not buy a dog from a puppy mill.  She also encouraged rescuing, IMO not a bad thing. I heard no mention whatsoever of breeders.

Two Moons, you underestimate the impact Oprah has on this country.

That doesn't sound too bad to me.  Sounded like she got the right message across for john Q public.  Most of them should be rescuing instead of buying their "doodles"
