I have sent my girl to TX to and am keeping my fingers and toes crossed that she comes back preg.

This is her first time and she is not to in to it from what I am hearing. So we have moved to AI and even that she is acting like the Drama Queen over. So with all this fuss i am starting to get worried that it isn't going to take.

I sure am hoping it does because with the drive and pedigree of thesse two dogs we will have some AWSOME Czech working line dogs.

Has anyone else out there had a bitch that is just full of herself and thrown a fit when it comes to breeding and it taken. I have been told to be prepared for it to not take, but she has seen worse bitches take and have large litters. ( i am not asking for a Huge litter seeing it is her first and she is small, but i would like something)

Yep that's why I ended up buying my Xandor.  I bought a bitch that just would not take...period.  Several different males were tried with her and nada.   I bought Xandor, she fell in love and bingo, we had pups.  It also took NOT kenneling her at all in an outdoor pen and letting her just chill out in the house.  She frets too much kenneled and I don't think she was able to take like that.

Funny thing is now she is back for breeding with Xandor.  I sold her and once again, a breeding didn't happen to an outside male.  Now she's back chillin' and Xandor is completely ignoring the female that IS in heat and he needs to breed.  He doesn't care...his Byorka is back.

I don't think it has anything to do with the males. She has been around one of our males that she loves and she is just to spirted to let a man take control of her. (yeah that is my girl)

I was told even while trying to AI she is carrying on with the two helpers.

Funny how your male and female are in Love with one another.

are you sure she is ready?

I had a female who acted like this once, so we did AI after doing progesterone testing.  We had no puppies.  Finally I decided to try breeding her completely naturally and we put her with the stud dog at least every other day from day 5 of her heat cycle until day 27 when she finally stood and willingly allowed a breeding.  We bred them on days 27-29 and had 8 puppies.  She was an easy breeder... when she was ready to be bred.

I think sometimes people force the dogs because WE think they are ready and it is time.  Sometimes the dogs know better.

Then of course there are some females that are difficult (or impossible) to breed regardless of how ready they really are.

Good luck!  You will have to let us know if she takes.
