The story sounds pretty disgusting,

but there are 2 sides to every story, I think it's too early to judge someone, he could of
made her just disappear, it you know what I mean.

  Did he call animal control?, he can't be that stupid, he's under a microscope,
dealing with the public....
but then again...........................

I'm very happy to see someone sprung her out of there, she looks to be a beautiful girl.

Every Congress critter should be thrown out, save Ron Paul, Gravel & a few others.   Traitors, the lot of them.  They dont work FOR the people of the USA, but FOR the lobbies & the government of Israel.

Spread the word, off with his head. This man must never again hold a public office. Sadly much of the population hates dogs so they will only strug and say - so what, it's only a dog much like the commentary on Mike Vick and his dog killing spree. Celebrites and politicians can get away with anything. And this is who is setting the dog law policies in this country; speaks volumes, doesn't it?

That is ridiculous. He should of found someone to take her in like a rescue. I would of done it. What is the world coming to? Seriously, if a senator can get away with this, I often wonder what he has also done. Vote against this man for the next election. It maybe just a dog to some people, but what happens if his child becomes sick or pregnant? Will he drop her off somewhere and not come back? I'm very upset like the rest of you. I'm too upset to finish typing.

I wish the mom & pups luck and hope they find their forever home!

This senator didn't break any laws or do anything under the table like so many others.    He's not my senator so I couldn't say what kind of man he is.  

Let the flames rise O lucifer, they have work to do here.

Two Moons, you never cease to amaze me. 

Is there any evidence that is was HIS personal dog?  I live in SC and my animal control does not round up strays.  If we have a problem, they tell us they will come get it if WE catch the dog.  Is it possible that this showed up as a stray and he took it in?

The only way they will trap a stray is with  cages and after the dog has been a real nuisance (threatening people, killing other animals, etc.)

Not saying he did not, but there may be more to the story.
