Not educated enough to advise.

Trailrider, the positioning is not very good. I would require the veterinarian to do these again and then ask for an opinion.

Thanks from everyone so far. Just so you know I started another thread above this, I hit the enter button prematurely. This is a friends 2 year female. She is interested in opinions of quality and positioning. The white speckles are in the original film but this pic was taken with a digital camera holding the xray to a window. She said it looks pretty identical to the original.

Very poor xray but there appears to be change in the bone to our left (xray isn't marked on the picture) as well as thickening of the neck. I would have the Vet redo.
BTW - I can see the chainlink fence in the thighs so I would guess it is against a window, HEHE. :o)

Hmmm! It's baaack! What do you guys think those white speckles are?
K-9mom! LOL! I didn't noice that until you mentioned it. No extra charge for the background scenery!

If someone could point out any points on the x-ray for me that would be great , ie if there are any noticable good points on there or even bad points,

The positioning isn't great and those white spots would probably get the xray returned by OFA. Not sure what caused them, could have happened during the developing process, maybe a double exposure, maybe the plate was loaded by a careless person, or the plate was dirty. In any case, I don't think I'd go back to this vet for another hip xray. I think it would definitely be worth doing her again and my best guess is she would go OFA good.

Waff, there are a number on websites that explain hip conformation, just google - canine hip dysplasia. You may also want to go to the OFA's website and surf around there. It contains a lot of informantion and some sketches of what they look for and how they grade the xrays they receive. http://www/offa.org
