Hello everyone, I have decided to start the "Schutzhund blooper thread" to hopefully lighten things up in here.
If you have any funny schutzhund or training pictures, please post them in here!
I hope this thread is successful, Im sure it has potential to be very funny.

I WISH I had some vid's or pics of all my bloopers. Feet knocked out from under me, sliding on my butt across a wet and muddy field, dog slamming me from behind when I didn't move fast enough....all of them really hurt at the time but they'd be hilarious to see now!

SO many bloopers in my SchH life... so few videos and pix, thank God.
I guess my worst story was walking all over the end of my own FH track once, trying to watch the dogs before me do their tracks. that one cost me a few points. Nearly falling on my dog in a BH on slick, wet grass, steadying myself with a hand on his back so I didn't fall on him was another "Hall of Fame" moment.
Pulling my scented SchH 1 aritcles out of my bra under a turtleneck sweater and a few other layers of clothing in view of the judge and the crowd in my first trial was another "Oops" moment. "Lordy" exclaimed Mr. Fields, "Its gonna be a lo-o-n-ng day, I can already tell." It was a lot longer for me than it was for him think, looking back. Ha ha ha. I had to go back to the van and re-read the rule book between each phase, never having so much as witnessed a SchH 1 routine, let alone attempted one.
I used to be notorious for trying to leave the field after my own obeddience critique was done, brain dead about the polite practice of waiting till my flight partner got their critique... clearly eager to be done with it and go on to the next phase I guess. I have a tape where you can hear spectators reminding me "Don't Leave Shelley!" as I start to turn to exit, reading my body language for the 20-somethingth time. Duhhhhh...

lol - I have one or two with Ruby. The most recent was we had been working her on the pillow and she was doing well. The helper decided that we should try sending her...so he nodded and I let go and she barreled into his stomach, bounced off the pillow which bounced off his stomach, did a back flip got up and went at it again...she almost knocked the helper down :) I had a big ole grin on my face when she did that :)
Of coarse now she is in that one step backward stage of training - but she still keeps catching our helper off guard with random bursts of speed...lol....the occasional 'blagh!' always brings a smile to my face :p

It's not a GSD and not really a "blooper", but sure is a funny photo....
I think I caught him doing the river dance, lol.

OK- I have a doozy. Last summer during my SchH1 OB routine I threw the dumbbell almost straight up in the air..... That was bad enough but then I shouted "OH SH1T" to who ever could hear.... I almost died right there. I then asked the judge if I can re-throw and it was much better but that earned me the nick name of hard hat Julie and is now a big joke in my club.
Thank God there are no pictures.
