do you think showing in the Union Cynologie Inernational (UCI ) shows ran by the International all breed canine association IABCA is worth it. would you think the titles are real?

Hello!
Surprised that no one else has written to you regarding the UCI show ring. I have shown in the Int'l shows for years now and have enjoyed it very much. They give each dog a written critique from the judge showing his/her good and bad points. I like the fact that they have judges from USA, Canada and other countries, including Germany, although not as often. I showed my little girl, Gypsy, last year in Albany Oregon and she did very well under an AKC judge, which really surprised me. She said my german girl was very promising (still a puppy at the time, around 11 months old) and had a wonderful temperament. I was happy with that :) She took Reserve Best in Show Puppy and Reserve Best in Shown Bred By Exhibitor Puppy.
I find it good experience and still fun, not near the crazy double handling routines that we see at the AKC shows! Thank god for that LOL...it is more laid back and enjoyable.
Hope this helps some
Peggy

knightenhaus I'm not surprised at all. Almost all people on this database look down on "show dogs" as if they are nothing. The only thing that they care about is their "working line" dogs!!!! If you haven't seen that by reading their ridiculous post against the show people and dogs, I can't see how you missed it. There are only a few of us on here that are for the show dog. I have only been showing my dog a year now and haven't had the experience of showing in the UCI. I'm sure it would be great fun though. Nice post by the way : - }
