Hi All! My pups & their Mom are doing well, but her belly along the mammary tracts is getting SO sore-looking, I trimmed the puppies toenails, but I think that almost made them sharper...I put a little Vitamin A & D ointment over the sore spots & crated her away from the pups for a couple of hours, that seemed to help, whether it was the ointment, or just giving her a break for a while.....I'm not sure....any suggestions? And will A & D ointment, (sparingly applied, & given a couple hours to disperse), hurt the puppies in any way? This is not a crisis or anything.....just trying to keep Kalie as comfortable as possible. She is nursing them well & they are gaining weight like crazy, so there's no real issue, everyone is bright-eyed & shiney coated, & full of bounce! jackie harris.
