Happy to see Liedo take his place again as V1 at the Southeastern Regionals last weekend.  I have had the pleasure of knowing this dog since he was 2-1/2 years old.  Structurally, it is obvious he is the epitome of what a GSD should be.  His movement is a fluid as you could want.  He is a joy to watch in the ring.  This dog knows why he is there and loves every minute of it.  I am fortunate to see Liedo at least a couple of times a week, and every time I see this dog move it absolutely amazes me.  Then when you see him in the house he is a big lap dog.  I have actually had this dog in my home, taken him running and helped with his conditioning for the ring.  Of course his bite work is equally as amazing.  I have also been present at many breedings  with Liedo.  Again, he knows why he is there.  He is easy to handle and shows no aggression to the females.  He requires no coaching at all to get the job done.  Liedo's color and pigment are also outstanding.  None of the pictures posted have come close to capturing his beauty.  It is something you really have to see for yourself.  Structure and pigment aside, I believe Liedo's greatest attribute is his temperament.  He loves everyone and is great in the house.    Liedo is a tribute to the outstanding breeding practices of his breeder Mr. Otmar Grunewald, and the nurturing environment he lives in with his owner Megan Judge of Haus Juris.  We are fortunate to have this great dog here in the U.S.

In the interest of full disclosure, I must own up to two facts.  I am a rookie when it comes to GSD Show Line dogs and I own two Liedo puppies.  Both my puppies were shown last fall at the NASS and this past weekend.  Consequently, I have seen Liedo work both at home in Virginia in training and in the ring for real.  He does step it up a notch for the crowd, but he is always a pleasure to watch work.  This past Sunday was clearly his day.  He was in the ring with 4/5 other  fabulous VA dogs, but had no equal.  He was in a class of his own.  Not only was his gaiting flawless, but he left the field 30/40 feet behind on the off lease fast round.  And he had to compete with two handlers, since his primary handler, Bernhard Premm had to dash off to the airport to head home to Europe.  While the second handler did a fine job, you almost get the sense that Liedo could go it alone.

Megan Judge of Haus Juris has done a wonderful job with Liedo von Kuckucksland and it shows.  This dog is great in every way.  If your ever in Northern Virginia give Megan a call and visit, you may want to take home a Liedo puppy.

Congratualtions Megan,

Bob

Wish I could have made it last weekend to that show. Great to hear detailed positive comments about him. I am very impressed by him. So much so that I hope to get a pup out of him soon. Can someone tell me when is the next show on the east coast? I would really like to check it out.
