If you want to stay on a RAW food diet but time doesn't permit try this website www.barfdirect.com, there's so many different choices your dog will never get bored with the same old boring food.  Also a raw food diet is one of the healthiest ways to go for your dog, just thing about a wild wolf's mentality...

Is she underweight or unhealthy? I have a dog that eats very sporadically and is very lean. I started feeding canidae recently and finally got some meat on her bones, but I never really worry about it. She eats whats she needs and is healthy.

Mindless, if your dog is healthyodda are she's just picky and switching foods trying to tempt her to eat is not in her best interests or yours. It will only make her worse. Decide what you want her to eat, sit the bowl down, let it there for no longer than 15 minutes. Take up what is left and either dump it or put it in the fridge for the next time.  Always make sure she sees what you are doing with the left over food. In between, feed her nothing whatsoever, no treats, nada. Only fresh water. You need to be sure the entire family is on board here and they (and you) must understand this dog is not going to starve herself to death.  The kids can't be sneaking the dog treats under the table LOL. GSD's tend to be a picky breed when it comes to what they want to eat and giving in to her demands is only going to get you an on-going eating problem. She needs to understand that either she eats what you give her when you give it to her or she will be very hungry until the next time you feed her. Don't let her sad looks deter you and good luck. It's a battle of wits, the dog cannot be allowed to win. Since you want to breed her, I'd start this program immediately so she learns to eat before she's pregnant.

Personally I'd never try to maintain a dog on meat alone, it is not a balanced diet. Either do as sjm has suggested or buy her a good brand of kibble. Not all dogs like the barf diet either, but I've never seen one dog of any breed that won't eat what is offered to  them after a few days of going hungry.

I have a bitch that is 12 years old.  All of her life she has been a picky eater.  She is West German Import and is on the small side weighing 53 lbs.  I took her to the vet a few times re: her not eating.  Many many test on her were run over the years, all with negative results.  Vet said she was fine.  So for the last 12 years she would eat what I gave her for about 2 weeks, then suddenly stop.  I would then have to change her food and she would begin to eat again.  I always have to mix some type of canned food with the kibble, even if was a tablespoon just for flavor.  It's now down to the point where I only have to switch the canned food every two weeks or so.  She has been on Canidae for about 3 years now.  I tried to wait her out, thinking she would eat when she was hungry, but after her not eating for several days, I always gave in.  Good luck, but as long as the vet says your dog is healthy, I would not panic, but make sure you give her a good quality food so she gets the most out of what is eaten.

The longest Blitz has gone without eating is 4 days. I won, he ate his dog food the 5th day and ate it as if he were on death row. Of course he acted like he was dying from hunger in the interim. Rolling his eyes and moaning while we ate our meals didn't get him anywhere, but I have to admit he was fun to watch. He still goes off his food now and then, but it rarely lasts  longer than a day. You gotta be strong
