Did you take your dog to the vet to see if theirs something medically wrong with her ? This is the first step to persue.

If theirs nothing medically wrong with her and shes healthy as an ox., maybe she doesn't like the food you're giving to her? Maybe you need to feed her better quality food that she enjoys? put her shoes on ... would you like having to eat cereal all the time? I would recommend that you get information about the Barf diet (RAW meat diet). I bet you any money that she wouldn't turn down a juicy liver or hamburger meat.

NOW I AM GOING TO TRY THIS AGAIN.....

TRY THE RAW MEATS LIVER AND RAW CHICKEN NECKS AND WINGS...GIVE ONE WITH FOOD OR AS A TREAT....USE  MEAT VERY SPARINGLY  THE FIRST WEEK AND INCREASE AS YOU GO..

ADD A LITTLE EXTRA VIRGIN OLIVE OIL  OR SALMON OIL  OR HALF A CAN OF SALMON TO FOOD EVERY THIRD DAY OR SO...

DO NOT CHANGE TOO QUICKLY BUT DEFINATELY FIND SOME HAMBURGER MEAT ON SALE AND GET BAGGIES AND FILL WITH MEAT AND LIVER    ...THAW AND GIVE TO DOG WITH KIBBLE   GRADUALLY REMOVE SOME KIBBLE AND ADD A WHOLE EGG   EVERY OTHER DAY....YOU CAN ADD SOME GARLIC  OR A TSP OF VINEGAR ALSO...ALONG THE WAY.....

GOOD LUCK                        AND IF THIS POSTS GETS DELETED  I WILL POST IT AGAIN....SO GO AHEAD   I CAN PLAY THE SAME GAME......

Can you post a picture of your dog?  Some young dogs naturally are very lean, and it is healthier for them.  If she eats enough so that her hip bones are not poking through even though her ribs are showing she is in good shape.

Hi Mindless you might also try reading the article I wrote many years ago which can be found on the link below..

http://www.gsdhelpline.com/suebel.htm

It may or may not explain why you are having problems with feeding, anyway worth a read just in case , I know it has solved the problem for many. Please keep us informed.

Best Regards

personaly if one of my dogs isnt feeding i will do a starve day. its not reccomended if your bitch is in bad condition but it seems to work also yellowrose of texas feeding plan sounds gr8 but unless she gets really lean i wouldnt over worry bitches are awkward with food at times without seeing her its hard to say what may be wrong.

try feeding her in a quiet peacefull enviroment away from other dogs and people and dont force her that will only make her more nervous.

is she up to date with her worming?

due in season?

are her bowel movements good/sloppy? (sorry folkes)

has she seen her vet? if so what did he say?

have you breed her yourself? or at what age did you get her?

sorry if the questions seem a bit weird but we have had the same problem a few times.

good luck

regards tigermouse.

I know someone who's dog's back is flat as a table and eyes bluge because he is so fat.  The owner continually complains the dog won't eat all it's food and he has to constantly add "goodies" to get the dog to finish!!!!!

Mindless,

Is she only avoiding eating all of the Royal Canin? A couple of my own dogs decided after eating Royal Canin for months, that they didn't want it any more and would leave it uneaten. I decided to try a change of diet for them and that seemed to work perfectly!  Try Solid Gold if you can--that's what I did and they started eating again immediately.   :)

You might also get a fecal floatation done and then deworm her. A checkup at the vet's office is never ill advised.  :)

How much are you feeding? I know some people feed their dog 3 full bowls a day and then wonder why their dogs don't eat all of it.

Good luck and please let us know how she does,

Melanie

If a trip to the Vet results in no parasites, I have had good luck with picky eaters by using Probioitisc, not digestive enzymes but human Probioitics.  If dogs have a good blance of flora in the digestive tract it really seems to help.
