I have a question which may seem very simple to some and might make me look stupid. Here it is. Can a dog earn a breed survey and a V rating if they don't have a SchH1 or higher?
The reason I am asking is because I have heard from one person that they can, if they have, I believe it is called a SchHa, I guess that is almost the same as a SchH1 minus the protection part.
Please educate on this matter.....lol.

Hi John,
As far as I know you must have a SCH I for the V rating and the breed survey.
The SchA is the OB and Protection- no tracking-
Hope this helps-

A dog MUST have a Schutzhund title, meaning a SchH 1, or better OR a HGH to earn a V rating in a conformation show. There are also other requirements that must be met before a dog can enter a breed survey. The Schutzhund A is not a title, as it lacks the tracking phase as was noted above.

NP John.
I am actually considering doing the SchA with my male due to certain circumstances. He is 8 1/2 yrs old, and doing much better in OB and protection than in the TR. It's improving, but he will definitely be ready for the SchI OB soon, and is already doing the SchI Protection routine... Have to get the BH first of course, we are just about there. I am actually thinking of doing it at your club, it is only about 20 minutes from my house... :-)
