Sunsilver

by Sunsilver on 11 March 2008 - 17:03

I was driving through my old neighbourhood in Richmond Hill yesterday when I spotted a man walking a gorgeous black and red male shepherd. Not being in any hurry, I pulled over, and told him how much I liked his dog. He said he had imported it from Germany and it was a great dog, very gentle with his grand-kids, but also protective of them. I asked about bloodlines, but he couldn't recall the sire's name, just that he'd been sold to Japan for $100,000!  So, we're talking a VA level dog here. Just out of curiosity, anyone know who it most likely was? (No, I didn't ask how old the dog was, which would have helped narrow the list down.)

Uran v Wildsteigerland is a possibility.  Rumor was that he was "leased" for about that, too.

Sunsilver ,,I am not surprised..Years ago when Hundesport was in existance here in Dallas,,,the owner were going to Europe to purchase a  male who  was VA and the conversation turned to prices and the other VA dog up for sale was just sold to a Chinese man for $110,000.00   and I almost choked then and that was 14 years ago.....

But Hill would have cost more than $ 100,000!

VA1 Uran vom Wildsteiger Land would be twenty seven years old now.  I wager a guess it's not he.

Bit more probably :o)) Given the passenger, who "didnt recall the sire's name" had the correct number :o) Which I doubt very much. Those number are not given out lightly ;o)
