Kentucky Representative, Tim Couch, is trying to pass a bill that will make it illegal to post on the internet anonymously. He wants to make it mandatory that all posters on all site post with their full name, with all e-mail and personal info available. He hopes to cut down on internet bullies. If this ever passed and someone posted anonymously, the person who runs the site would be fined or worse.
I assume that this is QB tim Couch. Can anyone from Kentucky confirm?

That would also cut way down on legitimate posters that are (were) willing to share information but not have it out for the world to see.

Personally i think everyone joining a Forum should give there full Name's and at least place of where they live for instance Kentucky USA,
If they use a non de Plume and put nothing else then i for one always wonder what they have to hide or what there motive of not doing so, I see this forunm is just that way,
I have joined it but i cannot say i agree with the Non de Plumes of its users

This has to do with children bullied by other children on the internet. A suicide was blamed on this. Mom was clueless.
Children have no business on the internet period. This law is not do able for many reasons.
This is just political fodder for up coming elections.
what is QB?

It would be a good Idea but how would anyone know that the user use their real name and state ?

by Two Moons on 11 March 2008 - 13:03
The internet is more than one state, more than a country. The USA could only control what comes thru the mainframe at Langley and even then its not possible.

You think by having the right to carry a Gun around with you taken away would make you akin to being a slave, you have some funny idea's
Perhaps it would be the best thing that ever happened that is to have the right to carry guns taken away
How many countries in this world is it legal to carry a firearm, the minority i think
If you get into trouble then use your bloody hands to get yourself out of it ,like i had to 6 weeks ago when i went over to England and was attacked by two yobs in broad daylight,
i know who came off worse and it was not me
