This might seem like a very stupid question but IS it possible for there to be two dogs with the same name?
I ask this because I was looking over my females pedigree and searched the father and got a result under the name, however the sire's side of the father is different. So is it possible that there are two dogs under this name?
Will greatly appreciate any advice.
Thanks.
Henry.

It could be possible if the dogs were under different registries. A dog registered AKC only could have the same name as a dog registered in another country. Doesn't make it right if somebody was doing that to use the name recogonition as a gimic to get people to breed to the dog. I could see it happening though......

One example that comes to mind, are the 2 Tom z Pohranicni straze.

It is very common in big time breeder kennels to repeat names like there is 3 Tom zPs, 8 Cita zPs, 4 Klara zPs, 5 Cilka z Ps, 3 Agar's and I could go on and on. After so long, they run out of names and have to repeat:-)
