I believe Dean said it best one day at a seminar but not sure if it is his or someone elses.....
"The fount of the breed will always be Germany."
Beyond that it is politics, money, ego, etc...

No one is twisting the USAs arms to do anything. The SV really does not give a flying ( ) about what people do elsewhere. But the moment some entity claims to be doing things according to SV rules, wants to benefit from their way of doing things, wants to take part in all the glory and successes that come with their way of doing things, they will then voluntarily submit to these very rules.
You can't sell a computer and claim it runs with Windows when you do not wish to install and run Windows the way Windows is run. Your option is to become bigger and better than Windows of course. If you have the ability to be and do all that. Then you still need to come back with proof that you are indeed better. Once you have proven to be better you still need to convince all the Windows users that they will benefit. And more so, switch to your system. Good luck with that.

If you don't mind me asking you this question gsdsports. What part don't you not like about SV? what does USA have that SV doesn't?
You seem frustrated with SV for some reason.

Because the SV in Germany is the GSD capital of the world. Over 1200 SV GSD clubs in close proximity, this cannot be replicated anywhere else. And the history of the GSD breed and heritage of the founders of it. And the profung folks and the zuchtschau folks accept the SV's breed standard and their rules. This breed intenmsity and commitment that produced a world market for these SV GSDS cannot ever be replicated anywhere else. It is a truly astounding achievement and even with its many problems and unresolved issues, still the best GSD breed sanctioning body in the world.
