Hi Pam,
Yes, GSD's LOVE Agility!!! I have been competeing GSD's in Agility for 12 years and more often than not, they are at least 10 to 20 seconds UNDER course time. The only thing I have noticed with GSD's after a long career in Agility is back issues. I have settled my dogs competition and trainings in Agility to less strenuous schedules and in training I don't always have them jump full height. It works for me and the kids have SO much fun!
Have fun with your girl!

Hi K-9mom
You read my mind!
I just retired my female from having anymore litters, she was spayed 2 weeks ago.
She is super athletic, and we once started flyball, and she was so fast, she loved it,
probably cause she's crazy about retrieving anything you throw for her!
Anyway, she will be 8 years old in Dec. of this year, and she is too energetic to sit on the side lines,
plus she deserves some notoriety!
She is OFA good hips & elbows, great shape
Do you think if I start her now in agility, we could maybe, after alot of hard work get a passing score?
I am signing her up for a 6 week beginner course with a trainer that knows her stuff, I mostly want
to keep Mira in good shape into old age, what is your opinion on this?
