Hi,
I have the 6 months old puppy. His bite is over about 4-5 mm now. But the lower jaw is not simmetrical (a bit). The right canine placed a bit close to the upper jaw canine then we have it at the left side. And I can see that the bite is more over from the right side, may be 1 mm differences. His bite was normal at the age of 6-7 week. Then it had turned a bit over. I had recieved him with the bite over about 5 mm. Then 8-10 mm. His left canine (lower jaw) was placed correctly all the time. The right one was inside and opposite the upper jaw canine. My vet cut it off and it had moved forward. Now the pup had changed his tooth. I recheck his mouth (hope not too often) and there are no holes in gums, canines placed well. Incissors of the lower jaw are not well aligned and there are a little assimetry (as I told before). My pups brother had the overbite less then my pup and it corrected itself till 6 months. But my pup has the other head (his muzzle is longer).
Could the bite be corrected itself?
is it the genetic problem to have the lower jaw that grows in different way with the upper jaw and with itself (left and right side)?
should I make some excesises to help? (to pull, to give to gnaw big bones and so one)
Thank you

it is not uncommon to see a different growth rate for the lower jaw, but would be very concerned about the lateral (right - left) asymmetry.

Colud the asymmetry be coused by trauma or something else? Or it has genetic reason?
