hi friends,

back from attending dog show at ghaziabad, a small bustling city, on the eastern end of delhi.  dog show was organized by the city's development authority with active participation of local vets.  Stupendous. marvellous.  the show ground was full of thousands of flowers and of course, dog lovers.  a flower show also was being organized on the adjacent ground.

now, back to business.  the show was very well organised .  i think this was perhaps the first show where chairs were in plenty for every body to give rest to tiring legs.  and that drinking water for general public was also available free of cost made all the difference.  so, cheers, dr. vijay pathak and boss, you, d.p. and everybody connected with the organizing body for making the show memorable.

though it was supposed to be a  show for pet owners but the presence of  high quality dogs made me to think if it was really a pet show.  the competition in the field of rotties, danes, labs and ofcourse gsd was well attended by high ranking dogs thanx again to two vets pathak and dp.

now coming to gsd ring.  the ring was perhaps a smaller one.  keeping in view the fact that a lot of gsds were participating, it should have been a little bigger.

i would like to make a special mention of some of the males there.  eros, bax and till recently an unknown  dog (don't know his name) owned by one babloo or dabloo. bax is a beautiful dog.  his present owner, i think, mahipal ,has given him a new life. now he is no more shy and his alertness was superb and equally superb was his lanky handler, razzi.

eros was superbly handled by noori, his former owner.  present owner is deepak.  what a dog!  super conformation.  but what baffls me is how could he lose to bax.  bax is a wonderful dog, no doubt, but eros giving way to bax, don't know.  perhaps eros was not in his mood.  or perhaps, prashant or deepak should have handled it.  but noori also handled him very well.  i don't know what happened or why.

the other dog handled by b/dabloo actually gave a very tough fight. this dog is son of quando x marry turkenkopf.  very big and well angulated dog.  and i feel either eros or b/dabloo's dog should have been the winner of the class. this BI dog gave a very tough fight to two imports.  it was fun watching this class . Ha Ha Ha.

regards
