Ivan has an excellent article relating to PPD's.  It's toward the top of this linked page.

Where are you located?  There's a lot of good people to recommend but it depends on what you are looking for. Do you want an import or one already in the US?  Working lines I assume??

GREAT PPD trainers that train for real world are few and far between. I see all these kennels advertising PPD dogs and see videos and all they are Sch dogs, prey driven equipment orinated dogs. Will not not bite a passive person. A person that is going to harm you is not going to be jumping around like a money prior to mugging you.

I go to you tube and look at PPD videos and 99.9% of them are sport video's if not sport video's then all prey work..

I too laugh at you tube dog for person protection.Even man like Ivan does not know good tactics to teach people to survive proper attack.Handler must live. Can always get new dog.Handler must help dog attack criminal or go to safety  not stand there like schutzhund training exercise. This is bad.Ask trainer how many times he has been attacked. The more is better because he is alive.Ivans article=self promotion.Best dogs are SEK but trainers & handlers do no competions.
This man ts 342003 he seems to know.

Be very careful. The lady who owns the full brother to my dog spent 9K several years ago on a PPD  that ran and hid the first time UPS came to the door. (She bought the dog beause of an ex boyfriend who was stalking her.) She hired a trainer to work with the dog which helped a little but not much. Last I heard she had sold the dog for something like $500 as a pet.

A much better option for you to consider might be to buy a GSD from very sound breeding that is stable, confident, and has a strong desire to dominate and control his territory (alpha male or female).  You should not need to do PP training and it is in most cases not a good idea because of the increased liability.  If you have a substantial amount of money buy a sound dog with an IPO or Sch degree from a reputable person.  Better yet, buy a sound GSD and train it in Sch yourself at a knowledgable club which has common sense training and not fruitcake fanatics who tend to ruin dogs by overagitation and amateurs pretending they are experts.  Find someone who is knowledgable to help you pick a suitable GSD.  Forget malinois or other breeds if you want the smartest, best most versatile family companion and protector.  The most dominant naturally protective GSD I ever was familiar with did the best bitework on his first attempt with no training at all.  He was a German Import of seeing eye breeding (LaSalle Kennels owned by Sinykin).  When someone threatened his owner or him, he became absolutely ferocious and used as much force as necessary to get control of the agitator (helper).  The first time he was tested he dove at the helper and knocked him down and had to be dragged off of him by his owner.   Yet the dog was friendly arounf  neighbors and his family and kids. If you challenged him he would get control of you quickly.

Preston

A Sch trained dog is not a PPD dog.

Also get an Alph male/female and expect them to protect without training that is a bigger liabiltiy than any truley trained PPD
