After looking at the other x-rays posted, I was wondering if the ones I had done were positioned correctly? 15 months old, sedated. Any opinions on rating would be appreciated.

NO! The Vet who took these should be ashamed! The dog is completely wonky and all over the place. I would only imagine that the dog was not sedated and moved just as the petal was pushed.
I hope you didn't pay for this film...................

Poor x-ray. Best guess is hips are OK, but need a better film to say for sure.

HI
I am not a professional, but I need to have my dogs hips re-xrayed as well. They must be on a 90 degree.
if they are not clear, no 90 degrees, no knees in picture,
go to Dragon German Shepherd website I believe it is dragongsd.com
There is a section on her "gaurantee" page which shows the correct and unacceptable.
Good Luck\

Poor positioning. Hip on right side of photo has been rotated closer to the film and the hip on the left rotated away from the film (the pelvis is rotated on the spine as an axis). Thus thr right hip appears much larger than the left. Plus the leg on the right side of photo is pushed way too far toward the centerline (spine-line) of the dog. In spite of this, I predict that the hips are likely OFA fair or OFA good (probably good).

i agree with Preston completely . the spine needs to be straight i would defiantly have them redone instead of taking a chance on only getting a fair rating

Could be a better xray...Id request another one done...and the vet should not charge you.....OFA may not grade it correctly..

Hips look fine, x-ray is terrible, OFA may send them back if you submit.

I haven't seen many x-rays with worse positioning as this one. Not only are the legs not extended straight or rotated correctly, but the whole dogs' body is twisted and turned. Terrible. Re-do them before trying to judge the hip health..

Very bad positioning. Too many things to list as to what's wrong with the positioning.
