Recently SpeakNow, you felt it necessary to post on this forum that my dog Arkane had no hip or elbow scores. Of course he only recently turned 24 months and xrays had already been submitted, but I could tell you had genuine concern for my dog. I just heard from OFA, my dogs hips were rated as "good" and his elbows received passing score as well. So thanks very much for your concern, but you don't need to worry anymore.

Sueincc, congratulations. That is excellent news! Isn't great when folks breed GSDs with sound, clean joints? If you have posted his photo and pedigree could you please list the reference? I'll bet you were very pleased to get such great news.

I'm always a nervous wreck waiting for hip scores. Congrats!

Thanks for your kind words. I have had many GSDs but this is my first with passing hips and elbows. His name is Arkane Vom Waldestraum, his pictures and pedigree are listed on this site. He is an Asko grandson through Roland Seibels dog, Janoch v d Grube Waldecke. He was bred by Dean & Karla Calderon. Here is a link to the Calderons website:

Congratulations, Sue!! Whew!! That must be a relief. I remember sweating out those two years, until OFA gave it's blessing!! Go out and celebrate!!

Hi sueincc,
Yippee, yippee. It is always great news to get such word from OFA. Marsha just got the same results on her wonderful female.
Tried to respond to your private post to me and for some reason again am getting weird error messages. So I just sent you an email before I saw this. Again, hearty congrats. I know you have a great dog.
As you know we have Bernhard Flinks here next weekend and just spent a weekend training with Dean's helper. We were all lamenting how the dates coincided, through no fault on anyones' part as we would have liked to attend with Seibel and some going there would also have liked to come spend time with Bernhard. We will just have to do this again!!
Have a great time there. We sure will have a great time here, although it does look like we may get two major winter storms. Good thing we have the indoor training area I guess!

I know - talk about bad seminar timing! Well, I'm sure we will be burning up cyberspace talking back and forth about the seminars when they are over! You guys are sure lucky to have a helper of Marks calibre to train with every month - maybe I'll be able to finagle an invitation from you come summer for one of the weekends you have Mark.
