Hey guys, ok so I've had alot of people contact me and also people posting on various places on the internet about this product. Some are saying how wonderful their dogs are doing on it, others are stating various other claims and opinions on it without really taking the time to check it out. Anybody that knows me or that has seen me post knows that I prefer to do my research before attacking anything, and I also usually believe there's two sides to any story, so I never take anything at face value until doing my own research, and there's things I'll just try to see if it works. So rather then answer privately I decided to post here, please bear with me and bypass this thread if you don't want to know about it.
I have 8 dogs on this product. They've been on it for almost 2 months, not even the full cycle of the product rotation yet. Here is what I"m seeing.
Cyrano - GSD 2ym schutzhund dog - had to eat a LOT of food to keep his weight up, he's my "bounce of walls" kind of dog. Was eating 6 cups of food a day, otherwise healthy. Now eating 4 cups a day and looking good, though again not through the full cycle.
Kaos - GSD 2.5ym schutzhund dog - working on allergies, coat looks a lot better already, was eating 4.5 cups or so, now eating about 3 and 3/4 cup.
Maestro - 4 ym papillon - this is my "miracle case". from the time I got him he has been a hard keeper. Finicky as they come, and I've had to spend how many hours preparing satin balls to put weight on him. Smelled like he ate something dead and it was rotting in him, poor teeth/gums even with care, and sometimes rather lethargic. Vet could not find anything wrong with him, he's just a hard keeper. I think possibly IBD or something that they're just not catching. Less then 2 months later and he's bouncing off walls like the papillon I wanted. Eyes are brighter, and he is now allowed to sleep on my bed (couldn't before, his breath made me want to be sick!) No more having to make satin balls, and he's enjoyed the same food he's been on now for a few months (he used to eat a brand for a few days or weeks, then refuse to touch it again!)
Phoenix - 6m M GSD -schutzhund prospect - active and happy as any pup should be, was eating stools before. No longer hunting for them after being on it. Was eating 3.5-4 cups, now eating 2.5-3 cups.
Hawk- 9m M GSD- schutzhund prospect - another hard keeper he had parvo as a young dog and we've had a hard time putting weight on him ever since. He's eating less and looking better I think. No more eating stools at all.
Cosette- 6 m F maltese mix - coat looks SOOOO much better, breath ten million times better, active and happy. She loves the stuff, and she looks great on it. Is eating about 1/2 of what she used to have to eat to maintain her weight.

(cont)
Maverick- 9 year malinois/shep X. This is another crazy one for me. He was gunshy, scared of his own shadow, and lazed around the house much of the day sleeping as he's gotten a little older. No longer the case. (I personally think the B-complex and inositol in the product has an effect on behavior) He is not nearly as jumpy as he was even a month ago (though still scared, it didn't TOTALLY change him, but he's not diving under the table in a panic every time someone makes a popping sound). He also is running and playing with my other dogs like he did when he was a puppy even moreso then he had been.
Simon - 10 year old rottie/lab/border collie X. My grandmothers dog, lays around the house doing nothing. Was having some health problems as well. He's still old (it's not lifes elixir after all of course) but he is seeming more active.
Again, these are results I"m seeing after under 2 months. I am never going to claim it to be a cure-all, it's not snake oil. I can just say that for me, it was worth a try. Could find nothing in the product that could hurt a dog, and the fact that they rotate through 3 formulas to avoid over supplementing is comforting to me. I spoke with the veterinarian who worked with nutritionists to design the product and am convinced she wants to help dogs everywhere, and would not put anything into it unless she was absolutely convinced of the benefit. There's nothing to throw off the calcium/phosphorous levels, and there's things in there to benefit a variety of things. It was apparently created because the veterinarians husband had a 12 year old dog and they had a conversation on the state of the pet food industry and what was missing and the husband suggested to the wife that she's a vet, and why doesnt' she do something about it. The dog died at 17 years of age (and from what I remember, it was a larger breed). The company has been very good to me, I have signed up as a rep as a result of what I've seen from my dogs as well as client dogs. I'm ANAL about what I attach my name to, and would rather lose money if I keep my name intact then try to sell snake oil. So I really researched it and these are some of the results I've found. As a rep, they've been very good to me indeed, and there's no sense whatsoever of anything but care for the dogs they service.
Anyways, if it's not for you, it's not for you, but as always, research something before worrying about knocking it. And by research I mean don't just run a search on the internet, but actually contact the company if you want to and even try it for yourself and see. The biggest harm that could come is that you're not happy and get your money back. But knocking it before you try it never solved anything. And I personally don't mind, because MY dogs are healthier and happier for the wear.
I am btw able to privately send more info on the product, including the ingredients and info about the 3 formulas they rotate through as needed if anybody is interested.

Hello,
This product is a very good product, and I have seen the results for myself.
I have 9 dogs on Vetraceuticals and have had them on it for 5 months. I have seen changes for myself, especially with my rescued shepherd. Here is what I have seen with my dogs:
Troy 6 yr m, Shepherd, much more energy, he went from laying around and lethargic to running around with the other dogs and playing with me. He does not have very good hips and at times would have a little struggle getting up. Now he does not stuggle to get up, and when it comes to feeding time he is starting to jump up for his dinner. I am telling you this dog has done a complete 180 from where he was. To offer him a better, healthier life is worth it to me. The proof is in the pudding with Troy.
Zuus 5yr m, Shepherd, I struggled with his weight for over a year. With in the last 5 months I have gotten him down to an ideal weight, he was at 130lb. I do not have to feed him that much to maintain his weight. He also has A LOT more energy.
Baron 2yr m, Shepherd, When I got him in October 2007 he was severely under weight, border line emaciated. And if that was not enough he also had mange when I got him. He has been on Vetraceuticals since I have had him and what a different dog. His coat is beautiful, his energy level is way up, he has more muscle tone and anyone can tell you that has seen him, he is not the same dog I got 5 months ago.
Billie 4yr m, Weimaraner, I have been training him for some time now, but my trainer had noticed some changes over the last month or so. Of course she is contributing our training but his focus has never been as good as it has been over the last month. He would stress a little when we would go the training field, but this has changed. He is definately not as stressed at all and again his focus has done a 180. I know you may say it is all in the training, but this was a very drastic change in a very short amount of time. And besides once, maybe twice a week, I truly do not work with him all that much. His coat is absolutely wonderful, and I have been able to maintain his weight
Cassidy 4yr f, Weimaraner, I know with Vetraceuticals you may not see much of a change in your dog, and I have to admit with Cassidy I have not noticed a huge change with her besides her coat and her energy level. But with the changes I have noticed in my other dogs, I know it is good for her and I am not willing to pull her off of it.
Ellie 1yr f, Chinese Crested, Now with her I have noticed large changed too. She use to have allegies and of course with no hair you could see the skin irritation, and her skin was very ashy and dry. I have had comments from other Chinese Crested owners on how nice her skin looks, and I do not have anymore allergies! Now it is not to say that one day she could have an allergic reaction to something, but I know she does not have any break outs and the skin problems that she had in the past.
Zorro 2yr m, Jack Russell mix, He is very similiar to Cassidy, not a whole lot of change but not willing to pull him off of it.
Lilo 4yr f, Chihuahua, Bad breathe has definately subsided and she looks healthier with more energy. I have also been able to maintain her weight a lot better too.
Stitch 4yr f, Chihuahua, Now I have had nightmares with this dogs weight. Buying the vet prescribed food, annual blood tests, etc....... Yeah! finally I have been able to maintain her weight with the regular petsmart brand "lite" food. She is doing so well on this, and her weight is not such an issue any longer.
Not to mention with 9 dogs, I'm not breaking back as much every week with scooping up poop! I noticed a definate drop in the land mines in back yard.
I know as it was stated earlier that this is not a fix all, but hey with 9 dogs if it helps to eliminate trips to the vet or a bunch of different dog food for multiple

You too can have a business opportunity selling this "Canine Health System."
http://www.vetraceuticals.com/business.html
I'm a little bit wary of miracle cure-all products that tout business opportunities for anyone who wants to get in. Too much like a snake oil promotion for me.

say all of what you want, the proof is in the pudding and my dogs health as well as the health of dogs etc of those whose dogs have been on it that I know personally is reason enough for me. You don't think that in 22 years as a trainer I've been approached by tons of these companies before? (healthy pet net, flint river ranch, etc etc) I will use what I see helps my dogs, and if I can tell my friends and family about it and it will help their dogs, I will do it. As I said in my above paragraphs, nobody ever said it was a cure-all, any more then any other supplement purports to be. I simply can say that this is what I've seen with my dogs. If you choose not to use it, that's fine too, to each his own. But my dogs are benefitting from it and that's all that matters to me at this point. Basically a product that has enzymes, probiotics, antioxidants (with ingredients like coenzymeQ10, bromelain, spirulina, kelp, alfalfa, bovine collagen, B-complex, inositol, fish oil, etc, etc) and fed on a rotating basis so as to prevent over supplementing, don't know how it could hurt to try it. There is a 100% money back guarantee. Don't know too many supplements where you can find the type of ingredients WITHOUT the fillers (like maltodextrin etc) and pay that price. CoenzymeQ10 alone at the pet store or health food store costs almost that much. Plus, any product that you can purchase more then a months supply that has been sitting on a shelf unrefrigerated for who knows how long but yet has enzymes/probiotics in it just doesn't sit well with me. I don't run into this with vetraceuticals. It is stored in controlled environment for no longer then a month, shipped out and then you have a months supply that is kept in refrigerator.
Again, you can say all you want, but for me, the "proof is in the pudding" and if it's doing well by my dogs, then that's what I'll do whether you want your dogs to try it and have the chance for better health is up to you.

Hi,
What would be a better way for the product to be sold? Would it be a better product if they spent millions on advertising and sold it in Petco? I'm delighted that I got to talk intelligently to the person that introduced me to Vetraceuticals. I was even more dleighted, not to say astonished, that Dr Christianne Schelling spent so much time on the phone with me answering questions I had on nutrition and the components of Vetraceuticals - I never had that experience from anything bought "mainstream retail".
I can absolutely vouch for the quality of the product. My two girls are doing remarkably well.
If you look at the ingredients, I'm sure you'll see that the formula is all about prevention and certainly not putting itself forward as a "cureall".
To me, I would be deighted to see zero difference in my dogs their whole lives as I know the components of this formula are the equivalent of the best and least expensive health insurance they could be on. The fact is I have seen a massive difference in particularly one of the two dogs, which simply reinforces how I felt about Vetraceuticals.
I hope I attached the ingredients page properly, sorry if it didn't come out right. Please offer feedback on these ingredients and if there are iother products that are as good or better. I'll certainly change to a better product, but I've not seen one that comes close to this. The A, B, C formulas are done so that core ingredients are delivered daily, but it allows for variations so that dogs are not receiving nutrients they do not require daily. A,B,C last three months and then rotate back to A and so on.
Best,
Heather
