It has been 3 months since my puppy arrived in USA. He was 5 months old when he got here and my breeder is now asking me to email SV and try to get the papers myself. Does anyone know their telephone number and who might speak English there. I have a wonderful dog but no SV papers and he is now 8 months old.

jbenson,
Your breeder is in Germany and wants you now to get the paperwork done from the usa? That sounds like a raw deal to me.

Hallo jbenson181,
The breeder should have given you the SV papers a long time ago with shipment. Tell us who is this breeder ? Sounds like Two Moons you may be correct..

While ya'll are talking about this maybe you could also help me with a problem...Does anyone have a phone number and/or a contact that I can call at the Hungarian Kennel Club...I need to see about getting an Export Pedigree on a dog...?

As Bob suggested call Sabine and talk with her she is very helpful, speaks very good English and can answer your questions about many things. By any chance was the breeder in the process of obtaining the SchH 3 title at the time during which the puppies were born? If so then it can also be that the papers were not processed for the litter prior to the male obtaining the title some breeders will register the litter once the SchH 3 title is obtained making the value and worth of the litter better. Also were both parents titled to the puppy? Do you have the names of the sire and dam, do you know what the breed survey or breed evaluation is? These are things that can also play into the puppies registration papers.
Once you purchase a dog from Germany the breeder or owner of the dog must notify the SV of the change of ownership an sale. Then the new owner must contact the SV and request a Bescheinigung this document is what shows you to be the new owner of the dog. Was the puppy tatooed?
