fawndallas

I know, I am an overly worried mom.   This is my first litter and Rose means the world to me.

Based on what I have read, Rose should not be giving me any signs of being pregnant until the 3rd or 4th week.  She is starting to already give the signs and the 1st mating was 2/14.

Am I just being a 1st time grandmother and I just need to take a deep breath?  Or is this something more serious and I need to get her to the vet (125 miles away is her normal vet; I have a closer one, but she is only used in an emergency)

Rose is already:
1. Showing signs of morning sickness by vomiting.   There is  not  alot of this.  I have actually only seen her do this twice in the last 3 days.
2. She started becoming far more needy/moppy this morning.  She is actually sticking to me like glue.
3. Her energy level has dropped some.
4. She is just not herself.

None of these are something that I would normally pay attention to.  I have just been looking forward to this litter for over 2 years and I know that preganacy can go horribly wrong with a dog.  I would rather loose the litter and protect my girl.

I am ok if you tell me "Get a life.  She is fine.  Quit reading about all the things that can go wrong."

Stop worrying, change nothing, let nature take it's course.

Feed as normal, she will need more as time goes by, add a few goodies to her diet, exercise moderately.

There is little you can do but watch, don't add to her stress.

Relax....:)

Listen to Moons. If you are stressed, she can feel it, and that may stress her.

She sounds about right. Some of mine tend to get Morning sickness around 2 weeks in some don't.
So far she sounds like a normal newly PG female.
Wish you the Best for you and your girl.
Weezy.

all seems normal to me.

Take her Temperature to be sure.  Two weeks after a heat cycle is when to be worried about Pyometra.

I agree, if you are really worried and feel that something's wrong...

Go to vet and get a blood check and a culture..... rule out Pyometra....

Better safe the sorry......

She sounds just like my now 57 day pregnant girl at the same time.

Grass eating,
Vomiting and
A slight stomach bulge
Bitchy with my other girls,

Now I just cannot wait for the arrival of at least 5 (seen via ultrasound at 30 days)

Yes I can wait because I would really like them to be Cooked precisely.

Sounds like a normal early pregnancy, don't stress her or yourself out, all is OK!
