 Some dogs are just prone to yeast infections, especially dogs with ears that hang, (labs, cockers).

However, yeast infections can be caused by food allergies, but as you said you would not be able to pinpoint an allergy with your dog since he has access to so many different food products, so I would have to say you're stuck with the ear infections.

Many products will clear the infection up, but they do not get to the root of the problem.
