With all due respect to everybody. I deffinitelly load of such practices and eating habits but we have to understand that there are people with different habits coming from different cultures. They may not approve some of our eating habits as well. Unfortunately we cannot change anything, only express how disgusted we are.

By now, I doubt that there are people in this world who do not know that people in China eat dogs and we cannot do anything about it. Maybe we should stop with showing these things at this board and turn to productive and useful discussions.

I applauded Viagra when it was invented.

I've never used it, but I have lived in a few states where the Chinese poach bear strictly for the gall bladder, sold for "sexual potency and virility".  Often times in California and other places the bears will be found dead, carcasses with the gall bladder removed, all so that a Chinese man can get turned on. (no ill meant of the Chinese, simply their eating habits and curiousness of the use of their food).

The same applies for Shark Fin's soup, Rhino Horn, and a good host of other "delicacies" chosen to be eaten.

I would prefer nothing more than to be converted from my thinking with a good explanation as to why...since even religion doesn't enter the reason why the Chinese eat these so called delicacies from animals....doggies included.  Any takers?

True, Watson. And I'm sure a Muslim or Jew would be just as disgusted at a picture of some pig trotters being served up, while someone raised in a part of North Ameriica where they're a common item on the menu would be going "Yum, yum!"

Remember Ma on the Beverly Hillbillies and her 'hog jowls'?

As much as it disgusts me, I'll save my energy for fighting illegal Chinese culinariy and medicinal practises, like the trade in wild animal parts, some of them from endangered species such as tigers and bears.

While it's true enough we must have tolerance and understanding for those whos customs are different from ours, I will remain as loyal to dogs as they are to us, pictures like that will always break my heart.
