As in back up your computer drive.  With all the back up systems out there now, you have no reason not to have your computer fully backed up.  And do so frequently.......  My last back up is a not very current, and my hard drive is toast.  bhlork.  and lots of other words........   The fixed computer will be on an automatic timed back up system.

Hi Animules,

I just lost an external drive. Fortunately, I was able to get most things off it before I trashed it. I considered buying a new computer, a new MAC and they have an operating system now that automatically backs up everything. But that option was too expensive so I just bought a Western Digital external hard drive and it came with software that automatically backs up my computer internal hard drive. I don't like it much, but I suppose if something ever happens to my MAC hard drive I will be delighted in the external backup.

Good luck.

Consider this highly rated software: ShadowProtect Desktop 3.1.

I certainly intend to buy this program. I have an external hard drive that I rarely use for back-up purposes. I've hated loosing "everything" and having to do complete "system recoveries" (back to factory status) on several occasions.

I back up everytime I update my system.   Burn it to a disk.  Burners have gotten cheaper.  The last time a hard drive crashed on me I took it apart, the bearings had gone out.  With all the high tec it came down to a set of tiny ball bearings.

HP would not make good on my software.

That bad thing is I have an external Maxtor drive automatic backup that I just did not have turned on all the time like it should have been.........   The good side is the computer is still under warrenty so at least the parts are covered.

Just a reminder if you don't want to lose it, back it up.

Yeah,   I've been there more than once.   I always liked HP  but they dont back up the product very well and good luck trying to find a real live human to talk to if you have an HP.    They may kiss my furry arse many times .

FUNNY...I was fully expecting you to tell me they came up with a back up drive for weak show line dogs! LMFAO!!! Don't drive into him, run backward man! NO stick hits either, we use a feather tickler on the dogs underbelly.

Sorry my imagination just gets carried away sometimes.
