According to another story (CNN, I think), they use GSDs, with their ears cut off, as one of the three main fighting dogs. Oh, but they don't let the dogs kill each other - just till one takes the other down......lovely......

You'll find them in every society. Ignorant people who really are just plain stupid.
They should have been used as unprotected decoys for attack training!
