I do not need any bashing on breeder practices, this is NOT my dog. I ONLY WANT opinions on the hips.
This was a 17 month old female & was pregnant when taken...Can this be turned around or just a waste of time and money? She is now just over 2 yrs and had another litter a couple of months ago.

When A Bitch is in whelp you don't get accurate X-rays or readings of the hips re x-ray her after the pups are born and weaned.

The right joint in definatly abnormal. I can't help it....for God's sake tell her owner to get her spayed.

Pregnancy and heat will affect laxity but not the overall composition of the hip joint.

I highly recommend getting this female on Hokamix. I have read a lot of testimonials from various breeds about how it helped with the problem and in some instances it improved it. I am not sure about a dog this age as far as the improving but I can tell you from personal experience that this product is miraculous on how it works. It is produced in the Netherlands and is readily available in the US. I have personally used this product on our dogs for over 11 years. I have seen it work wonders on old dogs as well. If you ever have a puppy with Panno this will relieve all of the symptoms usually and work to correct the problem and it works usually within 2-3 weeks. Not to mention all of the other ood attributes that it has. Here are 2 websites that you can find it on. www.holisticvitamins.com and www.dogtownusa.net
When I purchased my first German Shepherd puppy the breeder gave me a packet and in the packet were close to 20 pages of testimonials on Hokamix and another product which is incredible is Vertex previously known as Peak 11 years ago.
I hope this infomation helps. If you would like more info you can email me directly and I will try to help in anyway that I can.

Agree with OFA and would not bother to redo this dog. She has remodeling at the right hip and that will never go away or get better. OFA has indicated the areas of the changes, the rim, the neck/head all caused by the subluxation (looseness). No supplement is going to change the way these hips look, but it might help the dog lead a less painful life as she ages.

This dog is NOT a breeder and should be spayed, no matter what hip xrays say after she has weaned the pups. She still has Elbow Dysplasia and that has nothing to do with her being pregnant or nursing pups.

'scuse me, but unless we are looking at the back side of the xray, it is the left hip that is the problem.
left hip and right elbow.

Hard to tell which side is whicn when there is no visible marker on the xray as it could be reversed on the screen and no one would be able to tell. However, OFA doesn't say this dog has unilateral HD so it looks like they thought both sockets were shallow with remodeling. One sided or both, doesn't really matter in the big picture.
