They are kind of pricey, and I like all-natural products, which these are. Since I own a dehydrator, I now make them myself. Buy a huge bag of organic carrots from costco, grate them, dehydrate them, blend in vita-mix to powder & keep in a jar. Reconstitute with water in a bowl & keep in fridge - I make a small bowl that will last the week. I do the same thing with beets. It's a lot cheaper if you already own the equipment.
I know the vitamins are good, but this really helps bring the "red" color out in the coat (at least I can see a difference v. a litter mate that attends class that doesn't eat the carrots)
My dog eats:
2 cups TOTW with 1/4c FORCE (mixed with 1/2 cup warm water)
1 Tb beets
1 Tb carrots
2 pumps salmon oil
Twice a day.

chev,
a question about the olewo.
Do you find your homemade carrots and beets as good or better than the Olewo that is imported?
We have 7 Imported Shepherds that we train and show and would like to try these supplements.
We feed Raw and have a commercial Dehydrator to make our own chicken and beef jerky to use as training treats.
It sure would save us a little money to make our own and make it more feasible.

I was buying them online and at a local shop. They are expensive. Some day I just thought, why am I spending all that $$$ for CARROTS...checked the package - that's the ONLY ingredient. Makes no sense to me.
Bought a huge bag of organic carrots ($5-$6), shred (actually a kid of mine likes this task) - you could use a food processor on shred. I just pile them on the trays, I don't use the teflon sheets. I live in a humid area so I have to dry them for 10 hours I think - make sure they are really dry, not flexible at all. We dump them into the vita-mix and crank it up until it's powder, save in a canning jar.
The difference is the Olewo carrots are compressed like a food pellet, which is why a little bag can last so long. Carrots, even organic carrots, are so cheap here that I'm still saving money.
They mix back up just like the olewo carrots do. We put ours in a small tupperware bowl and reconstitute with water & keep in the fridge to last all week.
I like them for the color and shine to my dogs coat but also for keeping poo a good consistency, sometimes with raw meat (I use beef) it can be a little rich for my puppy. I haven't tried making my own meat treats, I just buy them - lamb is a favorite! That's a great idea to save even more $!!!

1. perfect poop. First time ever for my WL Czech male, and improved for my WG SL female
2. Improving pigment on the female (black and red), and shimmering coat on my sable male
3. Better skin on the belly for the female, who has had persistent skin problems. Seems to be doing the trick
Compared to a lot of performance supplements, 1kg of carrots is a great price, and will last quite a while for 2 dogs. It also appears to add a lot of NATURAL nutritional supplementation of nutrients. The long term verdict is still out, but based on the trial so far I think it's a great addition to the Orijen I'm feeding now.
