Do you happen to know the name of the synthetic leather material Bill Forbes uses for tracking lines? If so can you please post it on the thread on the new type of lines with it?
Thanks.

I like the ones that Ray Allen has. They are called RamTech, I think. I did order a really nice one off of ebay that is 3/4" wide and 15 feet long, great for agitation work!

I believe alternate lines he sells are just a high quality biothae.

It is called beeta. I get them custome made from an Amish harness maker in any width and length. It is extremely strong, easy to clean.

I suggest that you go to Bill Forbes' website (http://www.fullgripgear.com/) for his telephone number and email address.
While I have not bought any synthetic leather products from Bill, I can vouch that he makes the best dog gear around. If he doesn't have it, he will make it for you. He custom makes all of my leather leads.
I know that he makes a soft, flat, 1" tubular, nylon long line--very easy on the hands--reasonable price. I don't see it listed on his website. I'm sure that he can have anything you want on short notice. Give him a call or send him an email. He is probably a busy bee making up a large supply of gear to sell at the USA Sieger show in April. Other than for very basic drive-building with a youngster (where the dog is rewarded with a bite, a slip, and a carry), I'm not a fan of of using long lines in schutzhund work. I hate like hell getting a long line wrapped around my ankles. I feel that yanking on a long line is likely to make a dog hectic and to create conflict. I can't stand to see a dog glancing back over his shoulder in anticipation of a handler correction.

Beta-series Biothane I have seen and felt some of it. Call Bill Forbes and see if he carries it or can make leads of this material: http://www.fullgripgear.com/
Here are a couple of other sources for synthetic leads (good because they are stitched rather than riveted):
