In view of the appalling conduct and entirely unacceptable language–including the gratuitous use of street corner  profanity and personal attacks–presently exhibited by several people in the ongoing 2008 Masters World Tournament thread with the sole result, if not outright goal, of highjacking that particular valuable source of information, requiring interested readers to scroll through a wasteland of illiterate garbage in their search for pertinent event updates, it may be useful to reiterate the board rules we all agreed to when we registered here.

I imagine it is a huge job for Oli and his team to just keep this site running as smoothly as it does. It cannot be expected that, in addition to managing technical details, they also have a bottle of soap on the ready to wash out the garbage mouths which seem to be attracted to this forum. When you clicked on I ACCEPT you agreed to abstain from personal attacks [9, 11], to not use foul language [3], to be respectful of others [4, 15], to not post excerpts of e-mails or PMs or specific Web content  [7],  to stay on topic and not hijack someone else's thread [12], and to maintain other members' privacy [22].

From what I've seen, every single one of these points has been violated in the 2008 Masters Tournament discussion and it's the same people over and over and over again, not only in that thread but in myriad others, ad nauseam. Valuable contributors have picked up their marbles and quit playing because a small handful of others just can't seem to play nice.

We're all passionate about this breed. Having a forum such as this available at no cost for the exchange ideas, thoughts, and opinions is a marvel. Please appreciate it as a privilege. Leave your potty mouths in the school yard; don't mindlessly pound out your rage at your personal inadequacies and failures onto your monitors. There are people on the other side, had you known?

There are clearly TOS violations constantly here that are not moderated.

For example take a look at our old buddy Steve Leigh and his his recent posts. If you were to look at the TOS...

"This forum system is not a venue for personal or private vendetta's. Keep your personal business as just that - personal. This forum is not a venue for the resolution of personal disputes with members or companies."

one could see he is clearly in violation as he is constantly advertisising his personal vendetta's against certain people here.

And some people on this forum resist moderation? What does that kind of stuff do for the good of the community? Scare people away? What does it show about GSD people?

I'm sure this will fall on many deaf ears as some people apparently eat up this drama but I can't resist repeating it.

I must agree .     The posts are fodder.    What I dont agree with is your use of the word moderate.

Its a tricky word.......      Posts that brake rules can be removed now, just ask.

Dont post guards at the door,  Ignore what you find offensive.  Ask your own questions on a new post.

These people dont play without an audience.

Lets feel free to speak out without being censored.

I didnt see what profanity was spoken, it wasn't worth my effort to look.   How people communicate with others tells you alot about the person.     I live in a glass house so I wont be throwing any stones, how bout you?

Recently 3 losers started posting my first and last name on this board without my permission.  While I did not ask Oli to delete the posts, he did, and pretty quickly.  So he's watching!  

I agree sueincc,  things get taken care of.

It a shame that people arent better citizens.

Or adults.
