Hey,  I heard that there is a top male in  WUSV or BSP or some big competiton with only one testicle......is this true?

Anyone else heard this?  If so, what dog is it?

I thought all BSP competitors had to have the Korung in recent years. Therefore, a one testicle dog would have to hav had the testicle removed after the Koer for some reason. Am I mistaken here?

YOU ASK THE SAME QUESTION I WAS GOING TO ASK........MAYBE THE JUDGE DIDNT LOOK TOO WELL....OR FEEL VERY GOOD......

I do not think there is ANY correlation with BSP participants and whether they have a conformation rating or a breed survey. There is NO requirement for a dog who is competing in Schutzhund trials to have a conformation rating, nor a breed survey. As all of you know, at 2 years of age, a dog may not receive anything other than an SG in a conformation show if it does not have a title. So there is no obligation for people competing to show, although show people wanting V ratings in conformation or VA in Sieger Shows, must fulfill all the requirements.

As far as I know Eric had not been bred !!  He is an awesome dog regardless of a missing testicle !! would I breed to him NO  but I am sure some out of germany breeders that do not have to comply to SV breeding standards would use a dog such as Eric .

The old rule for dogs to have a breed rating and breed survey to participate in the BSP  is no longer in affect !

Once again for discussion sake, does one testicle produce one testicle. If not then what is the problem (just for info I would not breed to a one testicle dog), also if you are breeding for work not sport then what would be the problem. If this dogs drive and workability is sogood then what faults are worth overlooking.....Once again these comments do not necesaarily represent my view points, just for entertainment value!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes, one testicle, or monorchid, is genetic.  However, even while weeding out the one and two retained testicles (cryptorchid) dogs, it persists in the breed.
