Anybody know how to dial Directory Assistance in Germany from the US?
Thanks in advance!

Shelley,
you can't! The U.S. phone companies won't let you dial directly and have that blocked. If you want to be connnected to them, you have to dial your phone company first. Check your phone book. Often it is "00" for international assistance.
But if you need a phone No. in Germany, go to www.telefonbuch.de, pick your language (English) and take it from there. We use that site on a daily basis at work.

Thanks Chris!!! I don't have regular phone service, only Vonage internet phone and fax, which I love! $30./mo. and I can call almost anywhere in the world unlimited. Beats the heck out of Verizon and never goes down as long as the cable isn't knowcked out, great clarity, etc.
Better make my calls now. We have 50-60 mph wind here, snow/sleet blowing sideways, white out conditions and a wind chill for tonight predicted at -18F.
Do I miss CA? You BET I do!
