I know many of you do not like Diamond Brand, and with good reason with all of the food scares last yr. That said, I have given this specific type a try as it is a Natural line. I am looking for a link to it to share, but wonder if any of you use it or have an opinion on it? Thanks for any input.

we have used diamond for some time with no problems and great results.
recently we switched 2 of our dogs who have a hard time keeping weight on and they are both doing great on it. we also use it for pregnant and nursing mothers(one who had a litter of 9) and they dont have a problem keep their weight either.
just FYI, over the course of 10 years we have tried all the major brands including EVO, but we always end up going back to diamond.

I recently tried Diamond Naturals and after a month went back to my Purina Pro Plan salmon based - I wanteed to get away from the menadione but their coats went dull and the flatulance was horrid. Say what you like about Purina but I have had good results with it.

I been using Diamond dogfood for 15 years on all of my dogs ,Pups, seniors, Show, working pets, I use to drive from Va to NC once a month to get it now I don't have to anymore the feedstore carries it . Now I feed Diamond Naturals and even get better results. All my pups go to theyre new home with Diamond puppy and the new owners stick with it. I have excellent results in Coats, performents ,digestion etc. Best Dog food on the Market and it does not cost an Arm and leg .

You guy's are just kidding yourself with this formula. You are buying the Wall Street mareting. The old advertising slogan is sell the sizzle and not the steak.
Just look at the ingrediants in the food first ingrediant chicken meal. Meal means that the materials used are not fresh. A meal can mean any part of the chicken can be used and put through a process called rendering. They make it so as you think it's chicken brest it's far from that. The next ingrediant is chicken and fish meal same as above then 25% chicken fat.
God only knows what is in those meals it could be anything and chicken fat for energy!!! I'm afarid to ask what they use for a preserative BHT/BHA a cancer causing petroleum derative who knows.
Diamond is what they call a co-packer they make private label food for many companies. They have been involved in more than one recall in 2005 they killed 100 dogs. I have no idea on how many dogs they killed in 2007 and you want to feed that food to your dog.
If you trust Diamond Pet foods I have some land in a swamp in flordia I would like to talk to you about. Come on do you home work your dog's life is at stake. A good place to start is a report called What really in your pet food it can be found at www.api4animals.org and read all about Diamond pet foods and all the other pet food conglomerates and how much they really care about the quality of dog food they make.

Meal means that the meat has been dehydrated thus you are getting more of a concentration of the meat source. Meal is infact better than whole chicken. Weight of whole chicken contains moisture. So when cooked the percentage of chicken weight is lost. You are reffering to chicken by-product. By-products are all pieces, in this case of the chicken including organ and intestine. You don't have to believe me just do a simple google search. This is how I learned how to navigate the mumbo jumbo on the dog food labels. Nothing is ever simple, lol.
