What does this mean?

by zacsmum on 05 February 2008 - 20:02

It means that the dog has been x rayed and scored in the United Kingdom, and scored by the British Veterinary  Association. The hips are scored individualy, and rated on a scale from 0 to 53 per hip. The lower the combined total, the better the grading, with the best possible score being 0;0.  A score of 8;4 is very acceptable.

Visit the BVA site or Videx website for a more in depth explanation. Hope this helps
