Has anyone got a puppy from Vom Banach K9? Julie Marlow is the owner from what I can tell.

I was quite impressed with two of her stud males, Aron Vom poppitz and V.Walko Vom Grafental.

I was wondering what The scoop is on this Kennel and the progeny of these studs.

She is a very busy individual, but will always make time to contact you back.  She has beautiful dogs, and is very pleasant to talk to and deal with.  I've emailed her on a number of occassions, and she's very polite and informative.  I know of someone personally that purchased a dog from her and they are very happy.  Aron is VERY nice!  I hope to have the opportunity to breed my DDR bitch to him next year.  I wouldn't hesitate to purchase a dog from her.

yep gorgeous awesome looking dogs

anyone title one here?  know anyone who has titled something with her kennel name?  don't see many ddr dogs in trial results and given how good they look, it's surprising - maybe have noticed one or two with a BH or Sch1, but there have to be more right?

I know of one person who is doing Ring Sport with her dog, and I know of some that have done SchH but changed because of club reasons.

I dont own one of her dogs, but I have talked to Julie and I like her alot.  I've only heard good things from those that have purchased her dogs :)

Julie is a conscientious breeder in my experience with her.
She tells you what type of dogs one can expect, does not exagerate etc.  I was happy with a pup I got from her.

Drew, in my limited experience DDR dogs do not appear to be the best sport candidates in general.   This is not  black and white , but seems to be more the norm then say W. German working lines.  I think my boy is more the norm.  He is not over the top prey, ( though some in his litter were) but has good civil, which is what I was looking for at this stage of my life.  I chose the pup I did because I knew that competing was not in my future, but I always love a dog with good civil.

The other thing with these dogs (DDR) that I have appreciated is that they ( at least in his case) bond much closer then other bloodlines.

When a question of hips came up she was more then willing to help pay for an X-ray to determine if there was a problem, which I am pleased to say there was not.

So, as with anything, it gets down to what you are looking for.  If I was bent on a high competition dog, then I would look at W. Germ working lines, but for all around solid dogs, trainable, and good civil you would do well with her.  This is as always just my experience and opinion.  Aaron is as nice a looking dog as you will find.  He was just starting to do civil when I saw him so it was too early to see where he was at with this.  He needed to adjust to lots of things such as new enviroment, handler, and the concept of civil.  As much as I try not to weigh in a dogs physical appearance in evaluating them, I must say he was a striking dog.

I think these DDR dogs are very good looking dogs, but everyone seems to make excuses for them when it comes to sport or bitework in general.

"civil"   to most people means their dog will bark at someone while on a leash and the person isn't holding a sleeve.

dawqma,
I am not sure who "most people" are, but I think if you are saying that this is what civil means" their dog will bark at someone while on a leash and the person isn't holding a sleeve" then this is news to me.  Because a dog does not excell in sport does not in any way indicate the dog will not do "bitework in general".  I make no excuses for my dogs.  My male is not over the top prey driven, but I would be happy to let you see how he does in bite work without a sleeve.

It appears that you place an inordinate amout of emphasis on Sport.  Sport is a far cry from civil as civil is understood by most.  Civil to me is that the dog does not look for the sleeve as permission to bite.  The dog is focused on the man, not the sleeve.  I have dealt with too many dogs that looked great on the field, but would be on no use in a real situation.  This is an old topic, but I could not let your comments go unchallenged.

Again, I have never heard anyone,  ever, define civil the way you have, so you might want to research your information more. If you care to continue this discussion with a PM. I would be glad to exchange ideas with you, but I will not continue to carry this on on this board.
Thanks

dawqma,
P.S.  Your comments had nothing to do with the question by devildawqman.  His thread dealt with the kennel above.  It appeared to me that your comments were directed at me and were intended to stir up some crap.  This is exactly why this board sucks.  Some just are not happy unless they can attack someones ideas.  I made a few non challenging comments then you decide to come in with sarcastic crap.  Now that's how I really feel.
